- Administer and monitor Databricks workspaces and underlying AWS Infra. Develop platform admin tools...
- Act as the primary Databricks SME...
- Collaborate with data engineers...
Infrastructure & DevOps
- Oversee data-engineering dev ecosystem including dev-tooling...
- Own implementation and management of IaaC (Terraform...) and CI/CD automation for Databricks and AWS resources.
- Ensure security, high availability...
- Incorporate DevOps best practices including automated testing...
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement
- Engage directly with internal cross-functional stakeholders...
- Collaborate with engineers... Lead rapid prototyping...
- Provide mentorship to junior team members...
Minimum requirements for this role:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Sciences or related discipline
- 10+ years experience in Software Engineering or similar technical role; 2+ years in data infrastructure/platform focus.
- Experience building large-scale production-grade data platforms.
- Solid knowledge of Databricks features including Unity Catalog etc.
- Experience with AWS services (S3,IAM,RDS,Lambda etc.)
- Strong SQL & Python skills; hands-on data engineering experience designing pipelines & ETL routines.
- Skilled with change-data capture & batch loading techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving & communication skills.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience managing Databricks & AWS Infra for hundreds of users.
- Experience as a technical lead.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools: GitHub/GitLab CI/CD systems Terraform monitoring/logging tools like Datadog/CloudWatch.
- Experience implementing robust data governance/security measures.
Annual Base Salary $129,625—$152,500 CAD Total Rewards Compensation includes base salary + performance-based bonus + equity grants; flexible remote model; professional development stipend; comprehensive health & parental leave plans. Flexible Working Supports remote work aligned with operational needs; offices open for those preferring in-person; hybrid models supported.
