About the Company

DevriX is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to nurture and grow our in-house engineering team in Sofia while navigating strategic R&D initiatives for key customers. This is a fast-paced role in a startup environment, not a typical corporate 9-to-6 office job. You will lead and grow cross-functional teams, build scalable systems, and ensure stellar delivery for high-ticket B2B clients. Innovation is at the forefront of our core stack – from high-scale web platforms on top of WordPress and custom solutions, through big data pipelines and workflows within Google and Amazon’s ecosystems, to MCP integrations, agentic workflows, and vibe coding demos within the team and during discovery sessions. The role will be in close alignment and work daily with the executive team (and alongside our CTO).

Key Goals

• Lead and build high-performing teams. Instill ownership, accountability, and alignment.
• Architect and work with engineering teams to execute core systems, from microservices through AWS pipelines to CRM and martech integrations to web performance initiatives optimizing load times and CWV scores.
• Obsess around a growth hacking culture of quick prototyping and experimentation, incremental improvements, hackathons, community workshops, deep partnerships with the leading martech providers globally.
• Partner and push cross-functional initiatives. Work closely with marketing, account management, support, operations, and adops teams to ensure momentum and clarity.
• Work alongside the C-level to define, refine, and continuously enhance the entire engineering funnel: infrastructure, data pipelines, integrations, CI/CD, security integrations and audits, scalability, agentic systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Guarantee engineering excellence through code quality, testing, and 99.99% uptime for mission-critical platforms.

Role Requirements

• 10+ years in web as an esteemed engineering professional.
• Proven experience leading teams and initiatives in fast-paced startups or high-velocity businesses (experience as an individual consultant or former startup founder is a plus).
• Deep technical fluency – from underlying software engineering principles through different web/cloud/big data platforms to vibe coding and building complex AI agents.
• Former experience managing shared resources across different initiatives, optimizing for velocity, clear communication, rapid iterations, and effective delivery.
• Extreme ownership – act decisively, resolve issues proactively, escalate and raise blockers ASAP, autonomously guide teams weekly through sprints and milestones.
• Availability – eager to maintain and nurture our progressive culture in-house at the office, accounting for our diverse client portfolio (60%+ in the US) and ad-hoc hackathons or community activities (events and meetups) outside business hours.
