Senior Implementation Engineer (LATAM) - Job Description

About the Role

Contractor position through X-Team.
Focus on designing, building, and scaling custom integration middleware for a high-growth event management platform.
Engineer serverless integrations connecting REST APIs to enterprise platforms including Salesforce, HubSpot, payment gateways, and mobile apps.
Work with major international festivals and conferences.
Middleware must handle massive traffic spikes during event launches, protect platform stability, manage third-party rate limits, and ensure zero dropped registrations.

5+ years of senior integration engineering experience designing and building mission-critical middleware solutions from scratch.
Mastery of serverless architecture using Netlify Functions, AWS Lambda, or similar platforms.
Expertise in high-volume traffic and resiliency architecture including message queues (SQS, BullMQ), exponential backoff retries, rate-limiting safeguards, and backpressure management.
Hands-on experience with CRM & enterprise API systems like Salesforce and HubSpot for robust two-way data synchronization.
Full-stack capability with proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js or React) to build lightweight custom client interfaces and request forms.
Strong communication skills for technical client leadership: leading client calls, gathering requirements, explaining schema mismatches and sync delays to non-technical stakeholders, and providing live-event support.

Experience in the event tech industry or supporting high-concurrency event, ticketing, or registration platforms.
Expertise with payment gateways & security standards implementing secure payment processors adhering to PCI DSS standards and encryption protocols.
Deep familiarity with API standards & protocols including RESTful design patterns, webhooks, and modern authorization methods (OAuth2, API keys).
Proven ability in technical documentation authoring clear integration guides and developer docs.
