• Lead a group of 10–12 senior and Staff machine learning engineers focused on content understanding (audio, video, text).
• Player-coach role with strategic responsibilities including shaping team direction and scaling AI use in engineering.
• Set technical and team strategy for multiple content understanding problems with clear, achievable plans.
• Own delivery of high-priority company initiatives from problem shaping to measurable listener impact.
• Stay hands-on technically by leading strategy, reviewing designs, guiding modeling and retrieval choices, and contributing where needed.
• Define and promote practical use of AI tools for ML engineers to improve productivity.
• Partner with product, design, research, and other engineering leaders to align priorities and share context.

Who You Are

• Deep machine learning expertise with Staff-level technical judgment; comfortable hands-on when needed.
• Experience in NLP, audio/music content understanding, and recommender systems.
• Proven track record managing engineering teams delivering complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Skilled at coaching senior and Staff engineers to grow their impact.
• Clear point of view on using AI to improve ML engineering work; able to inspire team adoption.
• Strategic thinker with clear communication balancing long-term vision and near-term delivery.
