The Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer will drive innovation, share knowledge across the technology community, and contribute to industry leading products. You will:

  • Influence future mobile product design by providing technical expertise and engineering leadership, with a strong focus on the front-end design cycle
  • Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional teams to define innovation strategies and generate customer-focused design concepts
  • Lead technical decision-making across multiple disciplines including industrial design, usability, quality, and reliability
  • Develop and communicate design concepts using 3D CAD and FEA tools, and validate proof-of-concept prototypes for seamless integration
  • Drive design enablement with external partners ensuring solutions meet specifications and are ready for integration into the product portfolio

Essential Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with a proven track record of delivering innovative, high-quality designs
  • Deep expertise in engineering design principles including large-scale production, sheet metal, injection molding, electrical interconnects, heat extraction, and vibration control
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD systems (CREO preferred), with ability to create concept models, analyze production designs, and clearly communicate technical ideas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills capable of interpreting mechanical simulations, evaluating design trade-offs ensuring optimal cost performance quality
  • Collaborative mindset with experience driving design concepts forward partnering effectively with internal teams external development partners while thriving independently or in teams

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience designing analyzing electronics enclosures; PC server or similar product experience plus.
  • Practical experience machine shop operations prototype building.

Compensation:

Salary range $174250 - $225500 per year.
