Senior Product Data Analyst, Slack
We are looking for a Senior Product Data Analyst to design, build, and maintain scalable reporting and analytics frameworks that enable data-informed product decisions. In this role, you will focus on structuring product data, building trusted dashboards, and ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, reliable, and actionable insights. You will work closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to define metrics, build dashboards, and create a unified view of product performance. What you will be doing:
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into product usage, performance, and trends.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to define key product metrics and ensure consistent, accurate measurement.
- Architect and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and analytics frameworks in collaboration with Data Engineering and data platform teams.
- Translate business and product questions into clear analytical views, enabling stakeholders to self-serve insights.
- Develop compelling data visualizations and narratives to help teams and leadership understand product performance.
- Monitor product health metrics and proactively surface trends, anomalies, and areas of opportunity.
- Contribute to data governance, metric standardization, and documentation to ensure analytics accuracy and usability.
- Support recurring reporting needs for product reviews, planning cycles, and executive dashboards.
- Act as a trusted analytics partner, helping teams interpret data and ask better questions.
What you should have:
- 5+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence or data analysis preferably in technology product development or enterprise software.
- Strong expertise in data visualization and dashboarding tools particularly Tableau; experience with other BI tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets.
- Experience building scalable data pipelines or working closely with Data Engineering teams.
- Understanding of product metrics/KPIs including adoption/usage metrics.
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple requests effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related technical field such as Computer Science or Statistics preferred.
Salary Range:
Typical base salary range: $148500 - $223900 annually In select cities (San Francisco & New York City metro): $178900 - $246000 annually Salary range excludes bonus/incentives/equity/benefits.
