Role Overview

The Senior Robotics Engineer (Systems & Controls) will design and tune systems for reliable robot behavior under real-world constraints, converting task intent into stable, precise, production-grade motion on real hardware. Responsibilities include controller design, dynamics and system-response analysis, industrial hardware integration, deployment, and commissioning.

What You’ll Do

Design and tune control architectures using PID, feedforward, state-space methods, LQR, MPC.
Model system dynamics with block diagrams, transfer functions, state-space methods; analyze stability, overshoot, settling time, damping, tracking error, robustness.
Build motion execution around industrial OEM controllers considering latency, calibration error, joint limits, motion constraints, fault handling.
Lead system integration with industrial robotic systems across sensors, network interfaces, safety I/O, hardware.
Own bring-up, validation, commissioning, and on-site issue resolution in production environments.
Debug failures across controls, software, networking, calibration,

hardware.

What We’re Looking For

Deep expertise in classical and modern control theory (Laplace transforms,

frequency-domain analysis, LQR, MPC) with proven deployment on physical hardware.

Strong systems intuition regarding closed-loop system behavior in complex physical environments.
Hands-on experience integrating and commissioning industrial robot hardware (ABB,

Fanuc, KUKA, UR) in production settings.

4+ years of robotics software experience; strong C++/Python skills at the interface of high-level task planning and deterministic robot execution.
Startup DNA with high agency and bias toward action in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep experience programming/interfacing with ABB controllers via RAPID.
Strong experience building production-grade robotics pipelines in ROS2.
PhD or equivalent experience in Robotics or related engineering fields.
