About the Role
The Encompass Developer is a specialized technical engineering role focused on pushing the boundaries of the ICE Mortgage Technology Encompass platform. Unlike a standard Administrator role, this position is centered on custom software development, architectural design, and complex system integrations. You will be responsible for building the "engine under the hood"—designing scalable .NET plugins, crafting advanced middleware for third-party data exchange, and automating workflows through the Encompass SDK and REST APIs. This is a high-impact role where your code directly dictates the efficiency and scalability of our mortgage origination ecosystem.
Most Important
- Proven experience developing custom plugins, extensions, and event-driven automation using the Encompass SDK.
- High proficiency in C# and the .NET framework for building robust, secure, and maintainable codebases.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful API integrations and managing data mapping/transformation logic between Encompass and external systems.
- Ability to build complex input form logic and field-level automation that exceeds the capabilities of standard out-of-the-box business rules.
- Experience designing scalable integration architectures and optimizing code performance to ensure minimal system latency.
- Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems and a disciplined approach to structured deployment and change management.
Nice to Have
- Experience deploying or managing integrations within AWS or Azure environments.
- Familiarity with SQL Server and writing optimized queries for data extraction or reporting.
- A baseline understanding of the Loan Origination System (LOS) lifecycle and industry-standard compliance (e.g., TRID, HMDA).
- Experience with JavaScript or modern web frameworks for enhancing web-based Encompass interfaces.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks to ensure code reliability before UAT.
