About the Role and Company
- Betterhalf is India's first and only marriage super app with 1M users and presence in every city in India.
- The company is growing rapidly (50% quarter over quarter) and aims to become India's 3rd largest matrimony player by mid next year.
- Betterhalf.ai has raised $5M Pre-Series A funding and is backed by Y Combinator, Tribe Capital, Quiet Capital, Kunal Shah, and Nobroker founders.
- Series A funding expected in 6 months.
Role Overview
- Lead growth efforts to build a best-in-class growth engine for user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Build strategy and processes to manage Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and customer lifecycle.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across Acquisition, Activation, Engagement, Data & Analytics, and Growth R&D.
- Apply growth principles including experimentation, data-driven optimization, and customer-centric product experiences.
Responsibilities
- Drive product-led growth.
- Own roadmap, strategy, and product growth features/experiments to achieve 10X growth.
- Continuously measure KPIs and make data-driven strategic decisions.
- Conduct A/B testing based on qualitative user research and consumer psychology.
- Understand customer psyche deeply to identify why customers use the product and their inhibitions.
- Identify efficient low-cost acquisition channels and experiment with them.
- Implement referral marketing strategies for viral growth.
- Follow best practices for customer engagement and long-term retention.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in user growth for a high-growth consumer app startup.
- Experience shipping product features on mobile or web apps; managing sprint cycles; delivering key product growth metrics.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear data stories.
- Growth mindset; comfortable working cross-functionally; able to handle ambiguity.
- Proficiency with data attribution tools, analytics, performance monitoring, and product research methodologies.
- Experienced in driving growth through experimentation and analysis.
- Self-driven with strong ownership, business acumen, communication skills, planning/project management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant experience in content marketing, SEO, ASO for driving traffic on web/app products.
- Product management experience is a bonus.
Preferred Experience
- 4-6 years of product-driven growth experience in B2C companies.
- Experience managing 5–10 lakh monthly app/web signups/users without relying on ads.
Compensation
- Fixed CTC: INR 25–35 Lakhs
- Stocks: INR 50 Lakhs – 1 Crore
