Location
College Park, Maryland, United States This role is based at the College Park, MD office with the option to work a few days a week remotely.
Responsibilities
- Collect and track requirements and related documentation; align internal team requests; map intercept points and deliveries.
- Track status of wafers and chips in fab and test environments; ensure timely measurements and feedback for learning implementation on next iterations considering interdependencies.
- Highlight schedule risks; provide visibility on slipping items, bottlenecks, showstoppers; propose mitigation solutions.
- Coordinate flow of information and samples between design, layout, fab, and test teams to optimize learning cycle time; prioritize critical items.
- Plan face-to-face meetings and technical workshops with internal teams or external partners in the US or abroad.
- Track expenses vs budget for all fab-related activities; highlight discrepancies or outliers; prepare Purchase Orders as needed.
- Analyze, synthesize and present program status to cross-functional teams to inform key program decisions.
- Develop clear and realistic project timelines with key milestones, risks identification and completion dates.
- Forge strong partnerships with design and systems teams to collaboratively track activities and timelines.
- Collaborate with procurement team to establish favorable terms for recurring purchases and strategic framework agreements.
- Document schedule of actual vs planned program status; drive lessons learned and mitigation paths.
Qualifications
You’d be a good fit with:
- Master's or higher in Engineering or relevant field/discipline.
- 5+ years working in a fast-paced new product introduction (NPI) team delivering novel products within multi-functional engineering teams over multiple timezones.
- Expertise tracking wide range of manufacturing activities with complex schedules and interdependencies.
- Hands-on advanced experience in Office Timeline, Smartsheet, Excel macros.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing concepts; experience managing accelerated timelines; coordinating multiple parallel manufacturing campaigns; navigating conflicting priorities effectively.
- Experience with procurement flows (quotes, Purchase Orders).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex timelines to diverse audiences.
You’d be a great fit with:
- 5+ years experience working within a commercial semiconductor foundry.
- Experience working with ion trapping and/or photonic devices.
Travel
Up to 25% travel to other site locations.
Compensation
