About the Company

DevriX is hiring a senior web engineer for our office in Sofia, Bulgaria 6 fully on-site 6 for our portfolio of long-term martech solutions (WordPress-driven platforms, HubSpot/NetSuite builds, data dashboards, and some custom apps on top of Laravel, Python, or Node.js). Innovation is at the forefront of our core stack 6 from high-scale web platforms on top of WordPress and custom solutions, through big data pipelines and workflows within Google and Amazons ecosystems, to MCP integrations, agentic microtools and n8n workflows, and vibe coding demos within the team and during discovery sessions. This engineering role requires extreme ownership, strong velocity, building end-to-end automated solutions for productized services, and continuously staying on track with the bleeding-edge innovations with LLM providers.

Key Goals

• Deliver high-end solutions within existing projects and client-facing initiatives
• Push for substantial velocity and efficient delivery workflows
• Support existing teams in high-scale WordPress solutions, building 3rd party integrations, scaling for high-traffic load, leveraging core WordPress APIs and building on top of underlying frameworks
• Seamless end-to-end delivery 6 from task completion through GitHub pipelines and deployment cycles to server provisioning and debugging as needed
• Operate in a multi-platform environment, with PHP and JavaScript as underlying layers, in addition to Python and different JS-flavored frameworks
• Maximize delivery through copilots, automation tools (n8n/Make), UI prototyping with v0, and up and coming market solutions
• Manage relational databases following the core normalization principles and integrate portable or cloud flavors as needed (Firebase, Supabase, Cloudflare);

Role Requirements

• Strong command of PHP and MySQL for traditional web platforms (within WordPress, Laravel, micro apps and custom builds)
• Comfortable with vanilla JavaScript and a Node.js-driven stack (React experience is a plus)
• Experience building WordPress plugins or themes 6 being aware of the life cycle of a WordPress application, hook systems, and general CMS patterns for our portfolio of tech projects
• Broader engineering experience (Python/Go) is a plus, with vibe coded internal apps or ML/NLP projects also acceptable
• Comfortable with Git flows and branching, and basic CI/CD environment (linters/hinters and deployment workflow)
• Active participation and contribution to an Open Source community is a plus 6 WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, or other communities youre involved in or contribute to. GitHub, BitBucket or other public projects are welcome
• High level of proactivity and passion for the craft and the ongoing evolution of software engineering
• Responsible to the team code deadlines and maintaining profitability and efficiency within the organization
• Getting the job done is a priority but being able to enjoy the ride is essential;

Extended availability (evening shifts on-call) for our US portfolio of clients is a competitive advantage.
