The CDP APIs are the easiest way for developers to get started with building crypto applications. Conceived by Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, these APIs enable those with no prior knowledge of crypto to begin using crypto in under 30 seconds. The CDP APIs are positioned to bring the next million developers onchain, enabling trading, lending, payments, and more. The CDP Wallets & Onchain Tools team owns both server-side APIs and client-side libraries across different languages. The team is looking for a dynamic software engineer to build a platform that accelerates web3 development. The ideal candidate is passionate about every aspect of an excellent developer experience: designing APIs and SDKs, authoring clear and informative documentation, building compelling onboarding flows, and incorporating feedback directly from customers. They must be comfortable working across both frontend and backend codebases and able to deliver high velocity and high quality simultaneously. The team includes some of the most prolific and tenured software engineers at Coinbase and is excited to ship a game-changing set of APIs and SDKs at breakneck speed. Job Description:

• Design, develop, and maintain ergonomic, open-source SDKs using Typescript, React, React Native, Android, iOS, Unity,and Flutter
• Interface with and conformant HTTP REST API definitions using OpenAPI specifications
• Author,publish,and maintain clearand concise documentation,includ ing quickstartand how-to guides,to increase adoptionof the SDKs
• Work closelywith many different teamsat Coinbase to integrate walletsand onchain tools into internal products,en suring consistencyof concepts ,style,and design
• Work directlywith customers to collect their feedbackand iteratively improve the Data APIsand SDKs
• Evangelize the SDKin the crypto communityto gain greater adoption
• Build compelling sample applications end-to-end usingthe products todemonstrate their valueand pressure-testthe developer experience
• Troubleshootand debug complex fullstack issues ,ensuring stability,reliability,and security
• Participatein code reviewsand provide constructive feedbackto maintain high code quality standards

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in fullstack development
• Fluency in Golang ,Typescript ,React ,and React Native
• Experience with user authentication ,Identityand Access Management systems ,public key cryptography,browserand mobile persistent storage mechanisms
• Established reputationin open source communities ,with operational knowledgeof howto grow adoptionof GitHub repos
• Strong understandingof distributed systems,microservices architecture ,streaming-based systems,and event-driven architectures
• Excellent verbaland written communication skills ,with an eye for detailand a passionfor clear ,comprehensive developer documentation
• Fluency with crypto wallets ,including key management ,cryptography,and blockchain protocols(e.g.EVM ,Solana )
• Understandingof security best practicesand experiencewith implementing secure coding practicesfor financial systems
• Demonstrates the abilityto responsibly use generative AI toolsand copilots(e.g.,LibreChat,Gemini,Glean)in daily workflows;continuously learnas toolsevolve;apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices todeliver business‑ready outputs;drive measurable improvements inefficiency,cost,and quality.
