Role Details

Location: This role is based 3 days per week out of our San Francisco, HQ and is not eligible for full-time remote work.
Compensation: The annual cash compensation range for this position is $190,000–$260,000 based on level in addition to equity & benefits.

The Team and Role

Gem engineers work closely with product managers and designers to influence product direction, company roadmap, and business outcomes. We stay close to customers by joining customer calls, and reading customer feedback. We enjoy shipping features, moving fast, and being scrappy. We are receptive to feedback and continuously work on improving both our product and our craft. We work out of our San Francisco office.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

Own product features end-to-end alongside your product manager, engineering manager and designer.
Work primarily with Typescript, React, Python, GraphQL, Node.js, PostgreSQL.
Collaborate with engineers on your team and across Gem on code reviews,

data model, architecture, and product decisions.

Stay close to our customers.
Embody our company values of ownership,

Influence decisions and have direct impact on business outcomes.

About You

You have industry experience as a software engineer,

building user-facing products.

You move with velocity and invest in improving your craft.
You are good at driving solutions by communicating and working cross-functionally.
