Position Summary:

The Software Engineer III will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data-driven products, including necessary data pipelines and tooling to support those products or initiatives. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, data scientists, and analysts to deliver data products that meet customer and stakeholder needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, code, test, and debug data-driven applications following coding standards and best practices.
Develop supporting data tooling such as data pipelines, APIs, ensuring performant, scalable, secure solutions.
Integrate with various data sources and technologies to ensure timely availability of data.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specs and architectural designs; provide input on feasibility and approaches.
Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and consistency; share knowledge; offer constructive feedback.
Utilize version control systems in a distributed environment.
Ensure compatibility/interoperability between systems/platforms.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering into business processes.
Develop/maintain documentation for data processes/workflows.
Stay updated on emerging data technologies; evaluate relevance; recommend new tools/technologies.

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, IT, data science, analytics or related field.
5+ years related experience (or master’s + 3+ years or equivalent).
Proficient in SQL and Python. Experience in Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript a plus.
Experienced with Cloud technologies and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with Looker, DBT, cloud warehouse technologies a plus.
Experience with Parcel APIs, Parcel Financial Data and EDI feeds a plus.
Effective problem-solving skills; desire to solve business challenges with data.
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple key stakeholders.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
