Role Summary:

• Collaborate with Lead Developer Advocate on strategy, priorities, and vision.
• Define and track success metrics for advocacy initiatives.
• Act as technical authority producing technical content (webinars, tutorials, sample apps).
• Serve as feedback conduit to Product/Engineering from external observations.
• Engage with developers at physical events (e.g., KubeCon) and social media (Reddit, LinkedIn, HackerNews, DevTo).
• Nurture community engagement to promote SpiceDB OSS and enterprise services.

Responsibilities:

• Execute major portions of developer advocacy translating strategy into measurable programs.
• Manage North American presence at industry conferences and meetups.
• Gather product feedback from open source community.

Candidate Requirements:

• 3+ years in developer relations, developer experience, or community roles.
• 2+ years programming experience.
• Deep understanding of commercial open source projects.
• Experience building developer communities on social media.
• Experience teaching developers via live streams, videos, speaking engagements.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively remotely including travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with database technologies and their communities.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their communities.
