ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Build and scale a repeatable, data-driven growth engine driving pipeline and revenue across self-serve and sales-assisted channels.
  • Establish foundational GTM systems, team, and positioning to grow from ~200 customers to category leadership in retail AI.
  • Focus on owning growth and GTM architecture end-to-end rather than brand marketing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Scale Data-Driven Demand Generation:
  • Manage and expand events program.
  • Own product marketing messaging, positioning, sales enablement.
  • Scale content engine with CPG-specific research and case studies.
  • Implement full-funnel GTM infrastructure (attribution modeling, CRM hygiene, funnel tracking).
  • Run operating cadence with experiment reviews, channel reporting, pipeline forecasts.
  1. Own Performance Marketing Channels:
  • Direct ownership of paid search, social, display, retargeting, ABM channels.
  • Build experimentation engine with weekly A/B tests.
  • Architect attribution and analytics infrastructure for channel ROI.
  • Partner with Sales on ICP targeting and ABM plays for Fortune 500 CPG accounts.
  • Identify and test new acquisition levers including AI-driven tactics.
  1. Build and Lead Marketing Team:
  • Recruit and develop team members (Growth/Performance IC, Product Marketing Manager, Director of Community, Content Associate).
  • Set clear goals and accountability for direct reports.
  • Coach team through feedback and regular 1:1s.
  • Operate as player-coach executing alongside team while building scalable systems.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, CS leadership on marketing impact.

MUST HAVES

  • 5-7 years experience in Growth.
  • Experience directing content efforts into digital scaling/inbound motion.
  • Experience scaling marketing to hire conversion.
  • Ability to leverage data/AI to improve GTM effectiveness.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience in or selling into CPG, food & beverage, health or beauty industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with deductions, trade finance or retail supply chain workflows preferred.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced NYC startup environment onsite.
