Sr Product Manager (DBaaS)

Location: Hyderabad, India

We are looking for a Product Manager who is passionate about building and scaling cloud-native platforms that enable developers to rapidly deploy and manage applications with ease, flexibility, and security.

You will collaborate with high-energy Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Customer Success teams to deliver an intuitive, highly scalable platform that empowers our developer community. What You’ll Do:

• Lead the vision and strategy for our PaaS product family, ensuring it aligns with the broader company objectives and meets the evolving needs of developers. Build a prioritized product roadmap that focuses on scalability, performance, and developer experience.
• Work across the organization—including product marketing, sales, engineering, and leadership teams—to influence and ensure alignment on product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Drive cross-team collaboration to ensure successful execution and delivery.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their pain points and identify areas for innovation within the PaaS space. Use these insights to create and improve platform features that delight our users and provide real business value.
• Actively lead product management efforts through all phases of the product lifecycle—strategic planning, defining scope and objectives, key result tracking, and driving the execution of the roadmap. Ensure successful launches and continuous improvements based on feedback.
• Support executive leadership with clear roadmap prioritization, development of business cases, and data-driven proposals. Present business cases that simplify decision-making and maximize impact on both product adoption and revenue growth.
• Lead and mentor a team of experienced Product Managers. Develop and grow the team to ensure they operate at a high level of performance and leadership. Provide coaching and guidance to help them grow in their careers and prepare for the next generation of leadership.
• Drive Product Management and Engineering best practices, improve consistency, and accelerate delivery cadence. Continuously refine processes to ensure that the product development lifecycle is efficient and scalable to meet the needs of our growing user base.

What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:

• Proven leadership experience in product management, with a track record of successfully managing large, complex products or product families within a cloud-based infrastructure or developer tools environment.
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native technologies, PaaS platforms, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and DevOps practices. You understand how these technologies enable developers to build, deploy, and scale applications efficiently.
• A deep understanding of customer needs in the developer space, with experience creating and delivering solutions that improve developer productivity and experience. Passionate about solving real-world problems for customers.
• Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations and develop clear, actionable product strategies. You can turn broad, high-level concepts into specific, executable plans that resonate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience in leading high-performing product teams and fostering collaboration. You thrive on mentoring junior Product Managers, helping them grow, and creating a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Solid understanding of financial modeling and business case development. Experience analyzing P&L data and making data-driven decisions that align product initiatives with broader business objectives.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, agile product development environments. You’re comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining a clear focus on key product goals and deliverables.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. You can clearly communicate product strategies and vision to internal stakeholders, customers,and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or business field such as Computer Science,

Engineering, Economics or Finance; MSc or MBA is a plus. This job is located in Hyderabad
