Role Purpose

We are seeking a Staff Developer to join our Enterprise Ready Team. In this critical role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the architecture and evolution of the Enterprise Password Manager product at 1Password. Your leadership will directly influence our strategic direction, maintaining alignment with our overarching business goals while pioneering new technologies and best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. This role is not just about technical expertise; it's about collaboration, creativity, and the willingness to learn and grow together. You will play a key role in shaping the architecture and evolution of 1Password, aligning with our business goals while embracing advanced technologies. This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What We’re Looking For

Demonstrate deep expertise in system architecture,

software development, and emerging technologies. Stay informed of industry trends and leverage this knowledge in strategic planning.

Drive projects to completion, essuring they meet quality standards, deadlines, and deliverables.

Show adeptness in identifying,

understanding, and solving complex technical problems. Pursue goals with a bias toward action, simplifying when possible, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate across teams including Product Management & Design

to define product roadmaps that balance innovation with reliability & scalability needs.

Mentor engineers across multiple teams on best practices around design patterns & software craftsmanship principles including testing strategies & CI/CD pipelines implementation.
Stay current on emerging technologies such as AI/ML tools & frameworks relevant for cybersecurity products development & incorporate them into engineering practices where appropriate.
Contribute actively towards building an inclusive culture by participating in hiring processes & community engagement initiatives promoting diversity & belonging within tech organizations like ours.
