About the Role We’re on the lookout for talented Mobile Android Engineers with 8+ years of experience who are passionate about creating amazing user experiences. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Kotlin and Android software engineering with at least 8 years in mobile software engineering overall.
- Excellent communication skills and a knack for building strong cross-functional partnerships.
- A self-driven mindset with ability to tackle greenfield projects.
- Proficiency in Android testing frameworks.
- Experience developing platform components enhancing scalability.
- Strong critical thinking abilities.
- Willingness to learn continuously and passion for mentoring others.
Bonus points:
- Experience delivering high-quality code across diverse tech stack.
- Strong knowledge of Compose or GraphQL.
- Proficiency or familiarity with MVVM architecture.
- Experience with analytics monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with mobile infrastructure including CI/CD automated testing environments.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity with ability set clear milestones.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $163000/yr to $194000/yr in Denver & most remote locations $197000/yr to $235000/yr for San Francisco New York & Seattle $175000(CAD)/yr to $208000(CAD)/yr in Canada Stock equity is additional Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience expertise may vary from amounts listed above. Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver San Francisco New York City Employees based in those locations will be expected work from office on designated days approximately 2–3 days per week (or more depending on role). Same office expectations apply all Symmetry roles Gusto's subsidiary whose physical office is Scottsdale. Note: San Francisco office expectations encompass both San Francisco San Jose metro areas.
