Job Description
The Flow Builder team is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Postscript’s message orchestration platform. We are constantly improving on the current platform and adding new features that empower merchants to run their entire SMS business through Postscript. The Flow Builder product is experiencing fast growth and adoption leading to a number of new and exciting challenges to solve. Currently we are in the process of migrating some of our python codebase into Go microservices to elevate our platform to the next level. We are looking for a motivated software engineer with an interest in building scalable and extensible products to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position.
Primary Duties
Our future Staff Software Engineer will design and implement microservices in Go, utilizing SQL and NoSQL datastores within an AWS environment. They will also mentor more junior engineers on the design patterns and architecture of the new platform and contribute code in the product lane where necessary. Experience with modern SDLC including Agile methodologies is helpful, as well as a penchant for building systems that scale and are flexible enough to accommodate an ever-evolving business strategy.
What We’ll Love About You
- Minimum 8+ years professional software development experience, at least 5+ years of which is in Go
- Experience leading projects and delivering end to end on a backend solution successfully
- AWS experience a plus
- Experience with NoSQL databases a plus
- Experience with Python, React (Typescript) a plus
- Experience working in fast-paced development environments
- Experience working in low latency, high throughput applications
- Good communication skills and a team player
- Willingness to learn new technologies and a flexible mindset
