Join the power movement as a Staff Supplier Integration Manager
The Supplier Integration Management team integrates suppliers into early product design stages, ensures flawless procurement contract execution, and optimizes schedule, cost, and quality. The Staff Supplier Integration Manager is an expert in technical sourcing, fluent in engineering language, and adept at marshaling internal and external resources to meet project objectives. This role is accountable for supply chain activities for ARC and other projects/products including strategic sourcing, tactical procurement, and supplier management. This position focuses on defining and executing the supply chain strategy for the molten salt blanket. It requires experience in uncertain, unstructured, low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) environments with curiosity and creativity to identify new trends and technologies. The candidate will represent CFS at all levels within supplier and external audiences.
What you'll do:
- Develop and lead supply chain strategies for the molten salt blanket including spend analysis, benchmarking, cost/market analysis, supplier selection, and contracting
- Monitor suppliers throughout contract execution
- Build and nurture relationships with key supplier leadership
- Advise Supply Chain, Open Innovation, Global Affairs, and C-Suite on strategic partnership opportunities such as joint ventures or acquisitions to drive supply chain readiness and reliability of fusion powerplants
- Partner with Legal to develop legal frameworks supporting supply chain strategies
- Partner with EHS to ensure safe operations at CFS and key suppliers especially regarding hazardous materials
- Partner with Supply Chain Engineers to oversee supplier development activities including capacity expansion projects
- Support Investor Relations, Business Development, Corporate Finance, and Engineering teams as needed with queries and reports
- Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and Fusion Economics teams to drive powerplant value engineering, cost reductions, technology selection, and increase TRL of fusion-specific hardware
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in engineering/supply chain or related roles working with suppliers or partners on technically complex projects
- High finance acumen to understand company financial structures and strategize contract incentives
- Extensive technical knowledge of contracting for long lead time items based on project milestones
- Ability to map out complex interconnected systems
- Effective working independently and in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Exceptional organizational & analytical skills; proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight
- Ability to earn trust & maintain positive professional relationships; strengthen culture of inclusion
- Generate work plans; define milestones; help define impactful processes
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Strong organizational abilities managing various cases/scenarios with attention to detail ensuring comprehensive analysis
- Reliable & persistent work ethic; follow tasks through completion despite uncertainty/setbacks
- Ability to identify appropriate detail level for tasks; adapt modeling from rough estimates to detailed reliable models as needed
- Adaptability to start-up environment; initiative-taking; solving broad ambiguous problems independently under general guidance from management
- Proven writing & communication skills suitable for preparing material for broad external audiences

- Experience with chemical products & hazardous materials
- Experience scaling up operations
- Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Venture formation or strategic partnership framework development
Must-have Requirements:
- Ability to perform activities such as typing/standing/sitting for extended periods
- Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call regularly
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of time
- Ability to work in facilities containing industrial hazards including heat/cold/noise/fumes/strong magnets/lead (Pb)/high voltage/current/pressure systems/cryogenics
Salary & Benefits:
Salary Range: $130,000 - $200,000 per year (full-time position) + equity + benefits. Actual salary depends on level/location/qualifications/experience. Range reflects new hire salaries across all US locations. Benefits include:
