Staff Technical Program Manager, Assembly and Integration

Santa Clara, California, United States Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise. About The Role: As part of Archer’s mission, we’re scaling production of our cutting-edge eVTOL aircraft, Midnight 1.0, while planning for the next-generation Midnight 1.1. This team owns execution across assembly, integration, and test, managing detailed sequencing, resolving build challenges, and aligning cross-functional teams to ensure each aircraft meets schedule and readiness milestones. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the execution of aircraft assembly and integration from initial planning through final delivery
  • Serve as the technical and programmatic point of contact, managing coordination between engineering, manufacturing, systems, supply chain, and quality assurance teams
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, budgets,and risk registers to track progress and ensure milestones are met
  • Oversee the physical integration of structural , mechanical ,and avionic systems into aircraft platforms
  • Ensure configuration control , interface compatibility ,and alignment with certification and customer requirements
  • Identify and resolve technical and execution risks quicklyand efficiently
  • Communicate program status , risks ,and recovery plans clearlyto leadershipand customers

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering ,or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience , including5+ years in aircraft assembly , integration ,or manufacturing engineeringand3+ years in a program or technical leadership role
  • Strong technical knowledge of aircraft structural assemblies , system installations , wiring , hydraulics ,and flight systems
  • Proven ability to manage program schedules , technical scope,and cross-functional resources
  • Experience with program management tools (e.g., MS Project , Smartsheets , Jira )and standard office applications
  • Demonstrated success in managing program schedules , technical scope,and cross-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication , organizational,and leadership skills
  • Expertise in advanced manufacturing tools ( CAD , PLM , MES )
  • Strong leadership , communication,and cross-functional coordination skills to set directionand mentor a diverse engineering team
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic , high-iteration environment,b alancing big-picture program goals with hands-on real-time build solutions
