We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Finance Engineer to help build and deliver the next generation of capabilities at Rescale!
About the Role
As a Strategic Finance Engineer at Rescale, you’ll be a foundational hire in our Strategic Finance team. You’ll own automated workflows built by the Director of Strategic Finance (who brings 8 years of coding experience in usage-based B2B SaaS), and then take them to the next level. You’ll manage pricing, forecasting, reporting, and GTM analytics, while also partnering directly with leadership to accelerate AI-enabled digital transformation across finance and operations. This is an ideal role for someone with 3+ years of experience who is highly technical, ambitious, and eager to learn. You’ll get direct mentorship, executive visibility, and the chance to apply your technical and financial skills to some of the most critical levers of Rescale’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation & AI: Extend existing automated workflows using Python + SQL and AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, LangChain/LangGraph, etc.); assist in building scalable digital-first finance processes.
- Pricing & Deal Desk: Support pricing strategy and provide analysis for customer deals, including ROI and gross margin impact.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain and enhance automated revenue and gross margin forecasts; support monthly, quarterly, and board-level reporting.
- Sales Capacity & ROI Modeling: Help model GTM headcount and quota plans; evaluate ROI for GTM investments.
