The Role
As the Strategic Projects Lead in the Managed Services division, you will scope, design, and deliver complex human data projects. You will work directly with leading AI companies, researchers, and product teams to set up impactful, scalable pilots—from initial client conversations through task material design, rater training, and operational execution. This role requires high ownership, creativity in strategy and operations, and a passion for solving complex problems in ambiguous environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own project scoping and feasibility: Engage with customers to understand objectives, co-create study designs, assess viability, and propose success criteria.
- Lead project setup: Draft protocols, instructions, workflows, and platform configurations tailored to client use cases.
- Design and operationalize rater pipelines: Develop scalable onboarding, training, QA, and performance tracking processes.
- Run pilots and iterate: Launch small-scale tests to evaluate feasibility, cost, quality, throughput; optimize for scale.
- Ensure delivery excellence: Manage projects to timelines and budgets; provide proactive updates and insights to customers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Data, Product, Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and build reusable solutions.
- Document learnings: Create playbooks, case studies, standardized workflows to enhance operational readiness and reduce setup friction.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- 7+ years experience in strategy, operations, consulting, product management or customer-facing delivery roles—ideally in high-growth data or tech environments.
- Strong analytical skills and systems thinking with proven ability to design and deliver operational processes.
- Comfortable working with technical stakeholders; quick learner of new tools/platforms/frameworks.
- Skilled at translating abstract problems into structured plans with attention to detail.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong project management; cross-functional influencing skills.
- Excited by ambiguity and complexity; motivated by building new solutions from scratch.
- Passionate about AI, data quality, and responsible human contributions to model development.
Nice to Have
- Experience in data labeling/annotation/rater workflows or evaluation tasks.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python or tools like Notion, Zapier, Asana & Miro.
- Familiarity with LLM applications, model evaluation frameworks or human-in-the-loop systems.
- Experience managing domain experts such as linguists or programmers.
