About the role
Join as one of the first dedicated Sales hires at Lightdash, building out their GTM team.
About Lightdash:
- The first AI-native BI platform for technical data teams frustrated with complex, expensive traditional BI tools.
- Builds the best BI tool for data teams by letting them manage everything as code from their IDE and command line.
- Enables self-serve for the entire business using natural language, drag and drop, and more.
- Helps data teams build data-driven companies to make better decisions faster.
Role Overview:
- Talk and demo to customers and build relationships for the future.
- Run technical demos of the product and be a product expert.
- Act as a builder-seller hybrid to transform customer wins into a structured, repeatable sales motion.
What you won't be doing:
- Bringing others on sales calls; expected to be an expert on all things Lightdash in 1:1 chats with prospects.
- Engineers or analytics engineers join only when needed for new product features or specific technical troubleshooting.
What you'll be doing:
- Bring leads from the ecosystem into the sales funnel; nurture and build 1:1 relationships.
- Run product demos independently without sales engineers.
- Own the full sales cycle while documenting what works to create scalable sales processes.
- Provide voice-of-customer feedback to the product team.
- Contribute to sales collateral for future deals.
- Help test and validate new sales approaches.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Technical B2B startup sales experience.
- Strong analytical and documentation abilities.
- Excellent communication across technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience owning customer relationships selling $40k–100k+ ACV deals.
Nice to have:
- Data-driven curiosity and interest in data and analytics.
- Experience with outbound prospecting.
Location:
- Based in London, Paris, Dublin, New York or Boston.
