Job Description
The Meta Product Technical Program Management (TPM) community pioneers technologies to bring people and businesses closer globally. Product TPMs work at the intersection of technical execution and business strategy, partnering closely with Engineering and Product teams. TPMs at Meta drive impact by delivering measurable results across various areas. Responsibilities include defining and guiding high-level goals and roadmaps, monitoring and communicating progress, and defining functional requirements for new products and features. TPMs lead technical strategy and execution on company-wide platforms and services used across Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Reality Labs. Teams span Ads, Business Integrity, Monetization, Commerce, Business Messaging, Privacy, Social Impact, Central Integrity, Growth, Central Metrics, Internationalization, Platforms for Family of Apps, Groups, Search, Foundation, Infra, the Metaverse, and more. This posting represents multiple full-time roles across the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage end-to-end technical product solutions ensuring on-time delivery
- Manage and own cross-functional products and program execution in a matrix organization
- Drive and influence technical and product strategy; identify risks; develop mitigation strategies; align priorities; set direction for broad cross-functional areas
- Help define roadmap and long-term strategy for teams
- Design measurements to track impact and drive internal process improvements
- Articulate technology requirements, goals, milestones of your team
- Collaboratively define vision for building Meta-scale global products
- Develop/manage end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time delivery; provide coordination and quality assurance
- Work fast in a flat organization with TPMs, product managers, engineers to establish shared vision for improving execution/building solutions
- Communicate planning, project status, issues/risks timely to stakeholders
- Help drive product decisions aligned with higher company initiatives
- Establish shared goals with product teams across the company to build alignment across multiple cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 10+ years software engineering/systems engineering/hardware engineering/technical product or program management experience
- Experience driving/delivering complex tech programs or products from inception to delivery
- Experience defining strategic direction and identifying new opportunities for impact among products/platforms/programs
- Knowledge of user needs gathering requirements and defining scope
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams/functions; demonstrated critical thinking/thought leadership
- Communication experience at executive level; influencing senior leadership/technical management teams to develop systems/solutions/products
- Organizational coordination/multi-tasking experience
- Analytical/problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
- Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams/multiple partners in different time zones
- Experience working with product teams to build/deliver end-to-end customer-focused products with technical knowledge of underlying platforms/technologies
