Job Description

Technical Programs Lead at Ohm

Location: In Office (San Francisco, CA) Employment Type: Full-time Company: ohm.ai

About Ohm

Cursor and Claude Code reimagined how software products are developed. Our mission is to address the next frontier: artificial intelligence that reimagines how physical products are developed. Every complex physical product - a battery cell, an electric vehicle, a wearables device - is developed through a process that generates enormous quantities of data, almost none of which is used to its potential. This is an opportunity that AI was built to solve. Ohm is an enterprise AI platform that helps engineering teams transform how they develop, test, and validate physical products. Teams across battery, consumer electronics, and aerospace use Ohm to compress product iteration cycles, cut testing and validation costs, and accelerate data analysis. We are recruiting exceptional, high-agency scientists, engineers and operators to join our mission to reimagine how products are built in the next decade.

About this opportunity

You will own the full arc from signed contract to measurable business outcome. That means writing the implementation plan, running the delivery cadence with engineering, and being the person who holds everyone - internally and externally - accountable to the timeline and the ROI. You will also be the team's most active hunter for new value: identifying opportunities inside customer accounts that a new Ohm capability or workflow could unlock, and making the case with data. Critically, you will use AI tools to deliver a significant portion of technical outcomes yourself. You are not waiting on engineers to build every integration or pipeline - you are getting 80% of the way there, fast, and handing a near-finished solution to engineering to polish and ship. This role has no playbook. You will work directly alongside the CEO. There are multiple enterprise accounts in flight simultaneously - each with different data environments, different stakeholders, and different definitions of success. Because our initial commercial focus is in the battery industry, having experience in the battery industry is a strong plus for this role.

What you will do

  • Build detailed technical implementation plans for each new customer, mapping Ohm's capabilities to their specific data environment, workflows, and business goals - with explicit ROI milestones at each phase
  • Hold engineering accountable to delivery timelines and business outcomes
  • Identify and quantify new sources of value within accounts; you find that story and bring it to the commercial team.
  • Use AI tools to build integrations, data pipelines, and tooling that move implementations forward without waiting for full engineering cycles
  • Maintain deep, current knowledge of the competitive landscape and develop sharp, evidence-based views on where Ohm wins and why
  • Feed a structured signal loop back to product - recurring friction points, capability gaps, and patterns across accounts that should influence the roadmap - and build prototype solutions where applicable

What we are looking for

  • Domain fluency. You understand battery development - cell characterisation, cycling protocols, degradation analysis and modelling - well enough to earn credibility with a PhD scientist in the first meeting.
  • AI-native builder. AI tools are a primary workflow for you. You have shipped real technical solutions - integrations, pipelines, prototype apps - using AI-assisted development. You have strong, tested opinions about how to move faster with these tools.
  • Commercially rigorous. You have put dollar figures on technical decisions before, and been held accountable to them. You think in ROI, not features. You can walk a CEO and a lead engineer through the same argument and land with both.
  • Original thinker. You identify things that are structurally wrong and say so. You have a track record of changing how a team approaches a problem, not just how fast they execute it.
  • Built for ambiguity at pace. You have operated without a playbook before and found it energising rather than uncomfortable. When the situation is unclear, you make it clear. When something is slipping, you surface it before anyone asks.
  • Background in solutions engineering, program management, battery engineering or data engineering with a customer-facing track record. Experience in the battery industry is a strong plus.
