Role: Conduct end-to-end Transaction Monitoring investigations for customers (individuals/entities) potentially leading to drafting and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR).
Responsibilities:
Investigate AML and fraud-related blockchain transactions; write/file SARs.
Review and analyze automated alerts from transaction monitoring systems, law enforcement referrals, and other Coinbase business lines.
Analyze transaction activity and KYC information; conduct due diligence research.
Document investigations in written narratives.
Decide on escalation for additional review; recommend if activity is suspicious warranting SAR filing.
Maintain detailed documentation for regulatory compliance.
Stay current with industry standards in KYC, BSA/AML, OFAC; apply regulatory requirements and internal policies to investigations.

Professional AML or Fraud certification (e.g., CAMS, CFCS, CFE).
Proficiency in blockchain analysis tools (e.g., Chainalysis).
Experience in project management, analytics, or vendor management.
Advanced degree in business, finance, or customer experience (CX).
Proficiency with Google apps, JIRA, Hummingbird, Salesforce Service Cloud.
Salary: Annual base salary €67,000 EUR (excluding equity and bonus).
Work culture: Intense; requires in-person participation throughout the year including team/company offsites; remote-first but not remote-only.
